Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between ROADPATH LTD (“RoadPath”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17518473), and the driving instructor or driving school that uses RoadPath (“you”). By creating an account or using RoadPath you agree to them.
1. The service
RoadPath is online software for professional driving instructors: learner records and progress, lesson planning, diary and bookings, payments, receipts, reminders, an AI assistant and, optionally, WhatsApp messaging. RoadPath is a business tool. You use it for your driving tuition business, not as a consumer.
2. Your account
- You must give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be a qualified or trainee driving instructor, or a driving school, and at least 18.
- Tell us straight away at contact (at) roadpath.co.uk if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Subscription, trial and payment
- RoadPath costs £29.99 a month or £314.99 a year, paid in advance by card through Stripe. ROADPATH LTD is not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added.
- New accounts get a 45-day free trial. No card is needed. During the trial the AI assistant has a smaller daily allowance, and AI credits can’t be bought. When the trial ends, RoadPath is paused until you choose a plan. Nothing you’ve added is deleted. If you choose a plan during the trial, your first payment is taken when the trial ends.
- Founding members: instructors who join through the founding offer pay the founding price shown on the plan page for the number of months shown there, from their first payment date. The price and length you join with are kept for you. After that the normal monthly price applies; we email you 60 days before. The offer is for the monthly plan only. Founding places are released in limited batches and are available only while the plan page shows places open. If you cancel, your founding place is released, and the founding price is not kept if you join again later.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time in Account → Billing → Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We don’t refund part-used periods.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails, access is paused until the card is updated.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period, and you can cancel before then.
- We may give some instructors free access at our discretion.
4. AI assistant and AI credits
- Your subscription includes a free allowance of AI assistant messages, shown in the app. After that you can buy AI credits for the assistant and spoken answers.
- Credits are prepaid, are not refundable or exchangeable for cash, and roll over while your account stays open. Unused credits end when your account is closed.
- The assistant can make mistakes. Check its answers, lesson plans and summaries before relying on them or sharing them. It does not replace your professional judgement, the DVSA’s guidance or the law.
- The assistant only suggests changes; nothing is changed until you confirm it.
5. WhatsApp messaging (optional)
- You can connect your own WhatsApp Business number to RoadPath through Meta. Using WhatsApp in RoadPath is included in your subscription at no extra charge from us.
- Meta charges you directly for WhatsApp messages under its own pricing, using the payment method you add to your Meta business account. RoadPath does not collect or resell these charges and is not responsible for them.
- You must follow the WhatsApp Business Policy and Meta’s terms. You must only message learners who have agreed to receive WhatsApp messages, and stop when they ask. Promotional messages (such as special offers) need the learner’s specific agreement.
- Meta may limit, suspend or change WhatsApp access. We are not responsible for Meta’s decisions, fees or outages.
6. Learner payments
If you take card payments from learners, they are made to your own Stripe account under Stripe’s terms. RoadPath does not hold your money and takes no fee from those payments. Stripe’s own fees apply.
7. Your data and your learners’ data
- You own the data you put into RoadPath. You give us permission to store and process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- For learner data you are the data controller and we are your processor. Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms and sets out how we process it. You must have a lawful reason to keep learner data and tell learners how you use it. We process it only on your instructions, keep it secure, use vetted providers, help you answer learners’ requests, and tell you without undue delay about any breach affecting it.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data at any time. When you ask us to close your account we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use RoadPath to:
- send spam, unlawful, misleading or harassing messages;
- add people’s details without a lawful reason, or message people who have not agreed to it;
- break the law, Meta’s or Stripe’s rules, or other people’s rights;
- try to break, overload, copy or reverse-engineer the service, or access other users’ data.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with notice where reasonable.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep RoadPath available and secure but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features. If we remove a major feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance.
10. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- We are not liable for loss of profits, business, revenue or data, or for indirect or consequential losses.
- Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in those 12 months.
- You are responsible for your teaching, your bookings and prices, and the messages you send through RoadPath.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using RoadPath and cancel at any time. We may end these terms with 30 days’ notice, or straight away if you seriously break them. Sections 7, 10 and 12 continue after the agreement ends.
12. General
- We may update these terms. We will email you about important changes at least 30 days before they apply.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
